Merry Christmas Greetings

November 4th, 2009

As most of us settle in to celebrate the Christmas holiday with family and friends, I just wanted to take a moment and wish all of you the very best and blessed Christmas ever. For the first time in several years, I have looked at Christmas totally different. As my girls were growing I threw myself into the “shopping blitz” and tended to forget the reality of the season. This year my life has been taken on a different path and since my girls are grown it has made me realize that Christmas is not about the amount of money paid, nor the amount of gifts purchased, nor trying to impress friends and relatives. Christmas is about the love in your heart to share with those as Jesus Christ has shared with each of us. Christmas is about the Birth of Jesus whom God sent to show the world how much he really loves us. I thank God for His bountiful blessings upon my family over the last year. He’s answered many prayers and been most merciful toward us all.

I know some of you are fighting illness or suffer great pain in whatever way. I know some of you are lonely and want this time to just be over and done with. I know that for all these people, Christmas is not the merriest time of the year, but please know, that my thoughts and prayers, are with all of you. I hope with all my heart that your Christmas will somehow be better than ever. Remember that Christ is the comforter who tends to your pain. He cares that you’re hurting and He stands even closer to you when the teardrops start falling like rain.

To my members of other faiths, I offer my best wishes. Although you do not celebrate the same holiday as I, I hope you have the opportunity to share in the same good wishes and feelings regardless and I offer my best.

Also, thanks to all of you for being wonderful members, friends and relatives that you are. For supporting me and giving me guidance in this wonderful ministry God has chosen me to lead. You have all enriched my life more than you will ever know. This group has been a big part of my life and especially this year has opened so many doors that I can’t even begin to explain. I have realized that the whole year of 2009 is open before me like a book and is all in the Hands of God, but I know in my heart that I am on the right path. I realize that this path was created for me in order for my spiritual journey to grow. I have never felt so much peace in my heart. Our God is good and he leads us to exactly where we need to be.

Tonight I am expecting my entire family over for Christmas Eve Dinner. We are 16 and the noise in this house will be incredible. LOL We are a bunch of very loud Italians what can I say. Tomorrow, Christmas Day I will have my husband’s family over, which are not many, but my girls and my son in law will also be here along with my parents. I have decided that this greeting to you from me will be the last for the next two days. I will resume sending my inspirations on Friday. I really need to begin cooking and setting up for tonight. Please know you will all be in my heart and I will think of you and keep you in my prayers like I always do.

In keeping with my trend I will leave you with a couple of quotes for this time of year:

Best of all, Christmas means a spirit of love, time when the love of God and love of our fellow men should prevail over all hatred and bitterness, a time when our thoughts and deeds and the spirit of our lives Manifest the presence of God.

-George F. McDougall

************

Love doesn’t give only to those who are able to give in return, but rejoices in giving to those who can’t.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all Things.

Love Never Fails.

Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust, but giving the gift of love will endure.
